From 20-23 October, the 38th international art forum FIAC took place in Paris. One of the leading art fairs, this year it presented 165 galleries from around the world, all under the cupolas of the prestigious Grand Palais exhibition hall. This is a rare chance to experience this architectural gem which, like the Eiffel Tower, was built for the World's Fair in 1900. This year, the celebratory air was enhanced by an unprecedented surprise – three renovated exhibition rooms of the Grand Palais have been reopened after decades of being closed to the public.

Galleries and organizations from 21 countries was presented in the “Palace”, specializing in the creative legacy of modernism and postmodernism, as well as in events featuring contemporary art. The newly-opened galleries of the Palace hosted initiatives that largely concentrate on experimental art and the latest trends.

After visiting the Palace, the prospect led to a rendezvous in the Jardin des Tuileries, a captivating park in which an interactive art exhibition was set up; even mobile movie theaters was brought in to show films. And last but not least, a slew of outdoor exhibitions (and biological diversity) could be found in the territory of the Jardin des Plantes, right next door to the architectural zenith that is the Auguste Rodin Museum.
