Lisa Jonasson Bonnier Konsthall, Stockholm January 25 – April 29, 2012
The Swedish artist and Maria Bonnier Dahlen Grant-recipient (2004), Lisa Jonasson (1978), is the first artist to be featured in this year's Spetsen exhibition series. The Spetsen Gallery at Bonnier Konsthall invites artists to create new works that specially relate to its interior. Jonasson's detailed and color-infused collage compositions will decorate the gallery's walls until April 29.

In Swedish, “spetsen” means “tip” or “peak”. The Spetsen Gallery is located on the very top floor of Bonnier Konsthall, where its glass walls and curved architecture create quite the challenge for artists. This initiative of holding solo exhibitions, in which the artists are allowed to fill out the gallery at their discretion, began last spring. Artists who participated last year include Astrid Svangren, Ulla von Brandenbur and Malin Pettersson Öberg.

Lisa Jonasson also has her own artistic event, with a “life-long contract”, that she holds every couple of years – the Lisa Jonasson Art Biennal. She created the biennial with a group of curators as a critical reply to the established system of art biennials.
