The Bidoun Library is a mobile library established by the non-profit organiztion, Bidoun Projects. It's “foundations” were poured in New York, in 2009, but the collection of unusual materials made its debut at the Art Dubai art and design fair in November of 2009. The library's collections include notes, recordings, books, periodicals and other printed materials that are closely associated with the regions of the Middle East. Bidoun Projects' main objective is to popularize the contemporary cultural life of the diaspora originating from the regions and nations of the Middle East; it does this by organizing various events and projects.

Before arriving at Tensta Konsthall, the traveling document-library has been exhibited under the scorching sun of Abu Dabi, as well in Beirut, Cairo, Dubai, New York, and just recently, at the Serpentine gallery in London.
