Latvia's Comics Exhibition “Cold Soup” in Helsinki
Latvian Artists' Comics Exhibition, “Cold Soup” Finland's comics center Sarjakuvakeskus, Helsinki August 11 – September 2
The comics exhibition by Latvian artists, “Cold Soup”, will be on display in Finland's comic center in Helsinki, from August 11 to September 2. Seventeen Latvian artists who have successfully tried their hand at drawing comics – a decidedly uncommon form of visual art in Latvia – will be showing their original work. The opening is scheduled for August 11, at 8 PM.

This year marks the 100th birthday for comics in Finland. In warming up for the Helsinki Comics Festival, which will be held September 10-12, the comics center in Helsinki has invited the Latvian comics magazine kuš! to show comics that they have published and have shown in other exhibitions since the magazine's start four years ago.
Artists taking part in the exhibition are: Kristians Brekte, Rūta Briede, Kaspars Groševs, Endrju, Ernests Kļaviņš, Maija Līduma, Maija Kurševa, Anete Melece, Sabīne Moore, Oskars Pavlovskis, Reinis Pētersons, Ingrīda Pičukāne, Kristofers Reidzāns, Dace Sietiņa, Mārtiņš Upītis, Oskars Veilands-Kustikovs and Mārtiņš Zutis.
