Video: 15th Vilnius Painting Triennial at CAC, Lithuania

Through August 18, 2013 the Contemporary Art Centre (CAC) is hosting the 15th Vilnius Painting Triennial “Painting and Its Contexts”, which aims to highlight the main stops at the map of contemporary painting. What does painting mean today? How much do the contemporary painters rely on traditional techniques, and how does painting connect with the new media? In order to represent Lithuanian painting within the tradition/innovation context of the Baltic region, artists from Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Germany will be invited to take part. In the near future Arterritory.com will also publish an interview with the triennial’s curator Nijolė Nevčesauskienė.
