We invited Paul Kuimet (1984), the young visual artist from Tallinn, Estonia, to share his thoughts and answer our “Daily Dozen” questions. Paul Kuimet is currently working with urban landscapes and the possible political, poetical and perceptional interpretations that lie beneath. An exhibition “Not necessarily so” by Paul Kuimet and Laura Toots is on view at Temnikova & Kasela Gallery, Tallinn, until February 10, 2013.
1. What’s the best moment of your day?
Waking up and being anxious to get to work, and knowing that I can spend the day working only on things that are truly important to me.
2. Why do you work as an artist?
Because I don’t have to, but want to. And because I learn about and understand the world around me by working as an artist.
